Millet pancake mix · Mumbai
Milleva is a ready-to-cook pancake mix built on jowar (sorghum) flour. It has a low glycaemic index, is high in fibre, and contains no refined flour or refined sugar. Add milk, whisk, and cook on a tawa in under ten minutes.
Supplied to
schools, cafés & offices
The product
Most pancake mixes are refined wheat flour and sugar. Milleva replaces both. Jowar is a traditional Indian grain, long used for rotis, with a slower effect on blood sugar and far more fibre than maida.
Grain values are typical figures for jowar flour. Per-serving values are from the pack label (60 g serving).
Taste. Mild and slightly nutty, with the warm, earthy smell of jowar. It works with honey, fruit or jaggery, and with savoury toppings.
Who it suits. Families, children's breakfasts, people managing their weight, and anyone looking for a low-GI option.
Formulation. Developed with professional kitchen methods and reviewed by chefs and nutritionists. Every batch follows the same tested proportions.
How to prepare
1 cup of Milleva mix with 1 cup of milk of your choice. Water works too.
Whisk until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
Pour onto a hot pan or tawa. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side.

Founder
Aashna Singh
Founder, Milleva
Aashna founded Milleva at 16 after a culinary and food science internship at Marriott International. Working in a five-star hotel kitchen, she learned professional recipe development and ingredient nutrition, and used that training to formulate the mix.
The aim was a healthy pancake that also tastes good. Home versions of millet recipes tend to come out dense or bland, so the formulation was tested and refined until the texture and flavour held up. The final recipe uses jowar flour as its base and removes refined wheat flour entirely.
She runs the business end to end: product development, sourcing raw materials from local suppliers, production and packaging, client outreach, and delivery to schools, cafés, offices and NGO partners across Mumbai. She also wrote Eat Real, the nutrition guide Milleva distributes free.
The name joins millet and eva, meaning life: millet-based living.
